From Stop Alzheimer’s Now! Dr. Bruce Fife paraphrased by J.L. McDaniel
Mouth decay can be very serious and dangerous and cause brain damage and other illness. Over 90% of the population has some form of tooth decay or gum disease. Regardless how clean your mouth appears, you could have an active infection right now and not know it. More brushing, flossing, mouthwash, or use of antibiotics will not stop it.
But there is something that will, and if you know me by now you have guessed it—COCONUT OIL. The Oil is not used in brushing the teeth, (more of that latter) It is used in entirely a different way. The method is called Oil Pulling.
The process of oil pulling is very simple. You put a spoonful of coconut oil into your mouth and swish it around (do not gargle) for a period of 15 to 20 minutes. The coconut oil is worked into the mouth by pushing, pulling, and sucking it through the teeth. As you work the oil, it sucks up the bacteria, toxins, pus, and mucous. Don’t swallow it!!!! When you are finished pulling, spit it into the trash. You do not want to plug up your household plumbing because of a buildup of oil over time. Busy yourself with other things like dressing, reading or other things, the time will go by quickly.
Oil pulling is best done in the early morning before eating breakfast. After eating brush your teeth as you normally would. Oil pulling can be done one to three times a day on an empty stomach. Just before meals is a good time.
Do not use Oil pulling in place of good mouth care.
Now, Dr. Fife has a whole book on oil pulling therapy and has a book and video’s. Dr. Fife says “although oil pulling has its origins in Ayurvedic medicine, which dates back thousands of years, this modern version is relatively new, at least in the United States.” He proposes a complete detox method using Oil Pulling.

Brush Your Teeth with Coconut oil
Now why would you want to brush your teeth with coconut oil? First of all it tastes great. But again, look at the back of your box of tooth paste and see some very strange ingredients plus Fluoride.
I will be doing in the future a post on how harmful Fluoride is but for now let us skip that and concentrate on a clean mouth. Baking Soda has so many uses and benefits; I simply do not know where to begin with it. Now, back to our teeth.
Besides Dr. Fife’s formula for tooth paste, I add a eye dropper of Stevia to the mix. I found after reading up on SweetLeaf Stevia that studies indicated Stevia tends to lower elevated blood pressure but does not seem to affect normal blood pressure. It also inhibits the growth and reproduction of some bacteria and other infectious organisms, including the bacteria that cause tooth decay and gum disease. This may help explain why users of Stevia enhanced products report a lower incidence of colds and flu and why it has such exceptional qualities when used as a mouthwash or added to toothpaste. Many people report significant improvement in oral health after adding Stevia concentrate to their toothpaste and using it, diluted in water, as a daily mouthwash.
As illustrated above; All you need is coconut oil, baking soda, clear liquid Stevia, a small bowl and spoon. Oh also you will need your tooth brush.
Instructions
Brush your teeth with coconut oil
o 1 Add 2 parts baking soda to 1 part coconut oil directly into the small bowl. Add eye Doppler of Stevia. Mix with a spoon until the ingredients resemble a paste. If the mixture is too wet, add additional baking soda. If the mixture is too dry, add a few drops of coconut oil or water.
o 2 Cover the toothbrush brush bristles with the coconut oil paste by dipping the head of the toothbrush into the bowl.
o 3 Hold the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle, and brush the teeth using a small circular motion with gentle pressure. Remember to brush all around the teeth and the tongue.
o 4 Rinse your mouth with warm water. Repeat twice daily.
I have been using oil pulling for about a month. One of my illnesses was fungus and Candida. I had a grey tongue. I was using commercial mouth wash which was specialized to kill fungus it tasted awful did some good but then, I found coconut oil. Coconut oil kills yeast, fungus and candida. I now have an almost pink tongue. And after brushing with coconut oil and baking soda, the mouth is fresh, pink and I could never go back to the artificial plastic taste of tooth paste and alcohol laden mouthwash again.
